Meet the host - Amanda Kirkpatrick

No stranger to the local hospitality and food sector in NI, Amanda is an events professional, having worked in the industry for over 15 years. She plays host to a number of events across the country and is also a well-known vocalist and performer in her own right. This is Amanda’s second year hosting the Producer’s Table area, where she will yet again, create a space for audience members and producers to engage, share knowledge and explore the taste of local foods on offer, throughout the show.

At Shorthorn kitchen we produce a range of artisan condiments that enable you to elevate your meals to another level.

Betty’s Ice-Cream uses fresh cow’s milk and natural ingredients to create a delicious, smooth, scoopable ice-cream in a variety of flavours and tub sizes. The business is based on the family farm outside Pomeroy, Co Tyrone. This year we are introducing a range of ice-cream flavours made with no added sugar

Ballylisk Dairies in N.Ireland, produce a range of award-winning artisan semi-soft cow’s milk cheeses, using milk from their family farm located within the townland of Ballylisk, which is between Portadown and Tandragee in the heart of Co.Armagh.The Ballylisk cheese range is aimed at the discerning consumer and is supplied predominantly to food service which caters for high end hotels and restaurants as well as speciality shops, deli and butchers.

The Daily Apron is a small batch, multi award winning bakery in Lisburn. Specialising in French pastries and continental bread, they have proudly been using slow food methods to produce real bread and high quality pastries.

Long Meadow Cider is a third generation, award winning, family run business producing a range of craft ciders, apple juice and apple cider vinegar from apples grown and harvested on their home farm. They also offer various tour experiences where visitors have the opportunity to witness first hand the production process from start to finish as well as enjoying refreshments in their new glass fronted Bramley Barn nestled in the heart of the orchard. My name is Chi Keung Ng (CK). My culinary journey began at fourteen when I started a cooking apprenticeship at Jade Garden, a renowned restaurant owned by Maxim in Hong Kong. After four years of training there, I moved to the UK in 1982 to continue my studies in East London while also carrying on my advance training in Chinese cuisine.
In 1985, I moved to Northern Ireland where I worked and studied. At 24, I opened my first Chinese Takeaway, followed by three more takeaways and two restaurants over the next decade, all of which proved very successful. With 44 years in the catering industry, including 30 years running my own businesses, I’ve gained extensive experience and knowledge in various cuisines such as Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and European…
Wild Atlantic Distillery is an award-winning whiskey, gin and vodka distillery based in County Tyrone that draws its inspiration from Ireland’s spectacular rugged coastline. The distillery is located on the outskirts of the charming rural area of Aghyaran (Castlederg) close to the dramatic landscape of the Sperrin Mountains and just 15 miles from the wild beaches on Ireland’s north-western coast.
Run by brothers in law and long-standing friends Brian and Jim, who are passionate about maintaining the long history of independent, traditional and craft distilleries in Ireland. The Dundarave Estate was built back in 1840 in a time when nothing went unused, the estate was mainly self sufficient from growing our own peaches in the greenhouse to harvesting apples, plums, damsons and wild garlic which was all put to good use in the service of the house. We have a long history of producing our own jams, relishes and chutneys and now we would like to share these with you.

We are a multi award winning artisan chilli grower, chilli jam and hot sauce producer based in Bangor, Co Down. We grow many unique varieties of chillies and use them to flavour our original chilli jams, chilli chutneys and hot sauces. In 2023 our chilli plants were used by Ards & North Down Borough Council for display in their Chilli Festival.
